The closing event of the first phase of the “4D Dual TVET” project in Azerbaijan was held
The closing event of the first phase of the “4D Dual TVET” project in Azerbaijan held on November 27, 2024. The main goal of the project, which has been implemented in the country since 2021, is to improve the quality and standards of training in vocational schools and support the development of vocational education to increase professional skills in ICT and Mechatronics aligning with labor market demands.
During the official part of the event, Idris Musayev, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Vocational Education Development Fund, Kanan Baghirov, Vocational Education Center under Economic Zones Development Agency (EZDA VEC), Shaban Jaarchiyev, Baku State Industry and Innovation Vocational Education Center (BSIIVEC) shared insights into the activities of their institutions in the field of vocational education. They highlighted recent projects and future plans, emphasizing the importance of aligning vocational education with labor market demands.
The next speech was delivered by Astrid Lommek, the International Projects Manager of the Bildungswerk der Baden-Württembergische Wirtschaft e.V. (BIWE) who shared information about the organization's field of activity and the projects it implements.
Mehmet Cakar, Project Manager of the project in Azerbaijan, made a presentation at the event and shared the key takeaways and achievements done in the first part of the project and emphasized the importance of the support provided to the project's target groups and the opportunities for partnership in the implementation of the project.
Later, representatives from various partner companies such as ATL Academy, “SOCAR-Fugro” LLC and Coders Azerbaijan made speeches and touched upon the importance of students' internships and the learning process in companies.
The event concluded with panel discussions and dance performances by students studying at the Vocational Education Center under the Baku Industry and Innovation Vocational Education Center and the Economic Zones Development Agency.
The project is funded by the Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany via Sequa and implemented by Bildungswerk der Baden-Württembergischen Wirtschaft e.V (BIWE).
